How to Install Google Chrome Themes
Do you prefer to use the default theme of your web browser or do you like to turn your web browser into a beauty by installing some amazing themes? In this tutorial, I will demonstrate how to install a theme on Google Chrome.
When you first install Google Chrome browser, it comes with a simple, default theme with a white background, blue top bar and gray tab titles. If you like simplicity or plainness, this default theme will do just fine for you.

For those who prefer to insert their own style into everything they use including web browsers, or for those who prefer to see a little bit more colorful themes every time they start Chrome, or for those who enjoy viewing a beautiful landscape scene whenever they open a new tab to visit a website, it is pleasing to know that there are thousands and thousands of beautiful themes to enrich how their browser looks. And the good thing is that the majority of these themes are available for free.
You can find lots of nice themes on Chrome Web Store in a wide range of categories such as superheroes, space, nature, forest, colorful backgrounds, cars, animals, patterns, cities, sports and games. Some of these themes use beautiful stock photos, images from popular movies, screenshots from popular games or awesome graphic designs. If you start using a different theme every day from now on, it is highly unlikely that you will have seen all the available themes in your lifespan.
How to Install a Theme on Chrome
STEP 1: Start Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store.
You can open the web store in two ways:
STEP 1a: Click on the Customize and control Google Chrome button at the top right corner of the browser window and select Settings from the dropdown menu.
Select Extensions from the left menu and then click the Get more extensions link at the bottom of the page.

You can also add this link to your bookmarks for quicker access.
STEP 2: Once you are in the Chrome Web Store, select Themes on the left sidebar.
This will open the Themes page on the Chrome Web Store. Also from the left sidebar, you can select a category and a minimum rating to start your theme search.
STEP 3: When you find a theme that you like from the Themes list on the right side, click on it.
This will open a popup window with an overview and detailed information about the theme, reviews from other users and an installation button at the top right corner of this window.
STEP 4: Click Add to Chrome button to install the theme on your browser. Your selected theme will be installed and Chrome interface will be automatically updated to the new theme.

After installing a new theme on Chrome, when you open a new window or open a new tab, you will see the main image of the theme in the empty new tab screen. Sometimes you may have to adjust the zoom level in order to see the whole theme image.
Apart from installing themes, you can change the style of websites that you are visiting or even the default new tab using custom userstyles if you want.
