ATTENTION! For the sake of saving trees and our world, you should print documents only if you really need to. Otherwise, please prefer not to print things unnecessarily and try to save and read them digitally either on your computer (external drive, phone, etc.) or online.

Some people understand better when they print out articles or ebooks and read them on paper. That's why having a print this post button may help your readers who want to print out and read the important posts on your blog. Below, I will talk about how to add a button for printing a post by using a plugin called WP Print. The plugin is listed on the official WordPress.org plugin repository.

What this plugin does is to insert a simple "print this" button which will prepare your post page for printing and then send to your printer.

So, here are the steps:

- 1. Go to admin panel > Plugins > Add New and search for "WP print".
- 2. Install and activate the plugin.
- 3. Then, you can play with the settings in Settings > Print.
- 4. Finally, for the button to show up, you need to insert the following code in sinlge.php, post.php and page.phpor wherever you want the button to show up.

<?php if(function_exists('wp_print')) { print_link(); } ?>

You can change the text and icon of the button, set which parts to be printed like comments, links, images and so on.
